📊 How to select competitor websites
When you're choosing a competitor to use as reference in your Kafkai Project, you should not only focus on competitor sites but also related "review sites" and "information-providing sites". These rank for your topics and compete for the same attention, often ahead of the businesses they write about.
If you're still not satisfied with the keywords you've found, try the following:
-
Switch strategy
Catch-up puts you where large competitors are already established. Copying them there rarely changes the position, so Consolidate or Complement is usually the better place to start.
-
Widen the competitor set
A competitor that covers a narrow slice of your topics returns a narrow set of keywords. Adding a competitor whose coverage overlaps yours more broadly returns more, including the long-tail terms a single competitor misses.
To see which sites compete with yours in search, ask your AI to find competitors for your project, or use the free Find Competitors page.
