🚮 Deleting competitors from your Project

Can I remove competitors from my project?

Yes! You can now delete competitors directly from your project dashboard without contacting support.

How do I delete a competitor?

  1. Navigate to your project dashboard
  2. Find the competitor you want to remove in your "My Competitors" section
  3. Click the delete button (trash icon) next to the competitor
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

The competitor will be queued for deletion.

When will the competitor be deleted?

Competitor deletions are processed during your next keyword update cycle. You'll receive a notification a few days before the deletion is executed, giving you time to change your mind if needed.

Can I cancel a deletion before it's processed?

Yes! As long as the deletion hasn't been executed yet, you can:

  • Remove the deletion from queue by clicking the appropriate option
  • Keep the competitor in your analysis

Once the keyword update runs and the deletion is processed, it cannot be undone.

What happens to the competitor's data?

When a competitor is deleted:

  • All ranking data associated with that competitor is permanently removed
  • Historical keyword analysis for that competitor is lost
  • The deletion cannot be reversed once executed

Can I add the same competitor back later?

Yes, but with important limitations:

  • All previous data will be lost - you'll start fresh
  • You must have available quota based on your current plan
  • New analysis will begin from the point of re-adding

What if I want to add a new competitor?

After deleting a competitor (once the deletion is processed), you can add a new one:

  • Click "Add Competitor" in your project dashboard
  • Enter the competitor's website URL

The new competitor analysis will begin with your next keyword update.

Do I still need to contact support?

For competitor management: No, this is now self-service.

For project deletion: Yes, deleting entire projects still requires contacting support with:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your project URL (e.g., https://kafkai.com/en/app/xxxxxxxx/dashboard)
