A Brief History

SusHi Tech Tokyo is officially backed and organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG). The TMG promotes this initiative to address urban challenges and showcase Tokyo's appeal as a sustainable, high-tech city.

The inaugural SusHi Tech Tokyo event was held in 2023. In 2024, they featured over 500 startups while attracting 50,000 participants. It included programs such as the Global Startup Program, City Leaders Program, and Showcase Program, highlighting innovations in AI, quantum computing, food tech, and more.

I find it fascinating how quickly this conference has grown in just a couple of years. When I attended in 2024, the energy was incredible - a mix of Japanese efficiency with global startup culture that's quite unique in the conference scene.
